Selecting Your Holiday Type
Most of our journeys are suited to those with normal fitness and mobility levels. To assist you in choosing a journey best for you we have graded our tours;
Easy Paced: These programs are set at a comfortable pace. Walking and climbing of stairs involved is generally in and around major tourist attractions though you may require walking from road till boat jetty while embarking or disembarking boats.
Moderate: These tours are not strenuous but you will require good amount of fitness as they may include days with long periods of walking or soft trekking, climbing of stairs, embarking and disembarking boats and where longer distances may be travelled by uneven roads.
Adventurous: These refer to programs where your physical fitness needs to be on highest level. Trekking, cycling, climbing, walking and more adventurous activities may be included.
Comfort is our first priority. All our coaches are air-conditioned with push back seats. We even offer 30-35 seater coach when only 16 people are in a group, providing everyone a window seats. Our train journeys in air-conditioning sleeper class where bedding is provided by the train attendant and itineraries that include domestic flight to connect destination we use economy class.

India: Visa is required for all foreign nationals.
Apply online for a Pre-Approval at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html .The online application should be submitted a minimum of 4 days in advance and a maximum of 30days of the proposed date of travel. TVOA links may also be found in websites of Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Bureau of Immigration, Incredible India etc.
As of 27 Nov 2014 nationals and passport holder of 34 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Finland, Luxem Bourg, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar to name a few, can avail a Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) facility upon disembarking at international airports Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi and Trivandrum only. You will require to pay fees along with require documentation and is subject to verification and satisfaction of the Immigration. Please contact High Commission of India for updated information.
Sri Lanka: Every tourist visiting Sri Lanka required visa prior to departure. Visa must be obtained atleast 01 months prior to arrival in Sri Lanka by visiting www.eta.gov.lk The Tourist visa is valid for stay within 30 days. Passport must be valid for at least six months before you commence travel to Sri Lanka. Fee will apply.
Nepal: Visa is required for all foreign nationalities and the best way to apply for visa is from the Royal Nepalese diplomatic missions in your home country. Tourist Visa also can be obtained on arrival. Passport must be valid for at least six months before you commence travel in Nepal. Fee will apply.
Bhutan: All foreign nationals require visa for Bhutan.
Visa can be arranged by TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS. To process this we require clear readable colour copy of passport (page containing passport no and face picture in JPEG or PDF format) and current colour passport photograph and at least 30 days prior to date of entry into Bhutan. Remaining validity of passport should be at least 6 months from the date of exit from Bhutan.
Tourism Council of Bhutan issues visa clearance letter closer to travelling date which we email or fax you or your local travel agent. Travellers are required to produce aforesaid visa clearance copy at the time of check-in for their flights while those entering Bhutan by surface via Phuentsholing or Samdrup Jonkhar, they are required to produce this Visa Clearance letter at the Immigration counter. Actual visa is stamped at passport on arrival in Bhutan.

Myanmar: Visa is required for all nationalities.

Day 1: Arrive Delhi
On arrival you will be welcomed by our Tour Manager at the airport lounge with TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS signboard. Day 02: Delhi
After buffet breakfast and a quick tour briefing, start your Guided sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Drive pass the renowned 17th-century landmark Lal Qila; the Red Fort Palace, Jama Masjid literally meaning the Friday Mosque; India’s principal and biggest mosque, capable of holding 20000 devotees at at time, visit Chandni Chowk; Shahjahanabad’s Main Street in 1650 facing the majestic Red Fort. It originally had a central canal running down its full length, and when moonlight reflected off the water it got the name Chandni Chowk or ‘Avenue of Moonlight’. The canals have long since gone and it is now a chaotically bustling area, typical of real India, containing a mix of stalls, shops, food outlets and temples. Between the mosque and Chandni Chowk is a narrow shop-lined street along which you will experience a cycle rickshaws ride taking you on your most photogenic journey of the tour. The locals go shopping here like nowhere else. A quick visit to the famous Paranthe Wali Gali literally meaning "the bylane of fried bread". The food is old fashioned, strictly vegetarian, varieties include exotic fillings like Kaju, Badam, matar, Mix Paranthas, rabri, khoya parantha, gobi parantha, Parat parantha and many more. Sweet lassi, often served in earthen glasses is also a specialty of this place. Then we tour Khari Baoli, market. "Gadodia Market", situated on the south side of Khari Baoli was built by wealthy merchants in 1920s has one of the numerous spice stores and is Asia's largest wholesale spice market today. We stop for lunch before touring New Delhi including Qutub Minar the 379-step tower dating to 1193, 72.5 meters high, made of red sandstone and marble is the tallest minar in India also visit Humayun’s Tomb and drive past India Gate; that honours the 90,000 Indian soldiers who died in World War . Early morning watch the sunrise over the Taj Mahal (Closed on all Fridays). The world's greatest monument to love and devotion with its superb craftsmanship of semi-precious stones inlaid into the marble in beautiful patterns, a process known as pietra dura. As you pass through the gates, words cannot do justice to your first close up view of the world’s most famous monument. It was built by Shah Jahan in his loving memory of his wife Empress Mumtaz. Return to the hotel for buffet breakfast. Later visit the impressive 16th century Agra Fort, which was started in 1565 by Akbar with later additions made by his son, Jahangir, and grandson, Shah Jahan. Continue to the white marble Tomb of Itimad ud Daulah, commissioned by the wife of Jahangir in 1622 as the tomb for her father. Described as 'jewel box'or the 'Baby Taj', it is regarded by many as a draft of the Taj Mahal, being the first building to be coated in white marble inlaid with very detailed pietra dura inlay. After breakfast drive to Ranthambore en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri, also known as the abandoned city of Mughals built by Emperor Akbar in 1569. The city was intended to embody the noble ideas and the humanitarian bent of this dynamic Emperor. He had planned this city as his capital but shortage of water compelled him to abandon the city. This deserted city has retained many of the old structures, and is one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendour at its height. It is prolific and versatile Indo-Muslim composite style, which is a fusion of the composite cultures of indigenous and foreign origins. The entire city of Fatehpur Sikri has been listed among the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Enjoy guided sightseeing tour and interesting birth story of this beautiful city also known as the city of Mughals. Next you are making your way to Sawai Madhopur the place known for its Ranthambhore Tiger reserve. The Ranthambhore tiger reserve at junction of the Aravalli and the Vindhyas is a unique juxtaposition of natural and historical richness, standing out conspicuously in the vast, arid and denude track of eastern Rajasthan, barely 14 Kms from Sawai Madhopur. It is Rajasthan’s best sizable area of forest and savannah. Capture some spectacular views of the majestic Aravalli ranges in your camera as you make way to your jungle resort. Day 8: Wildlife safari & Indian Barbeque
As dawn breaks the jungle comes alive with bird and animal calls prepare for the first game drive at 6:00 – 9:30 am kindly check with the reception if there is any change in time. Enjoy the national park travelling in canter with an estimated area of 400sq Km of this amazing reserve. The park is dotted with steep rocky hills and the dominating architecture of Ranthambhor Fort (built in the 10th century), adds to its landscape. The rugged park terrain alternates between dry deciduous forest, open grassy meadow, dotted by several lakes and rivers that are only made passable by rough roads built and maintained by the Forest Service. The tiger is not the only attraction at Ranthambore although it is the one park resident that people come to see. A variety of birds including Owlets, the ubiquitous Langur (monkey), Leopard, Caracal, Hyena, Jackal, Jungle Cat, marsh Crocodiles, Wild Boar, Bears and various species of Deer are the other attractions. Return to the hotel approximately around 9:30 am and have your breakfast. Later in the afternoon we have another game drive. As per surroundings we will enjoy India bar-be-queue dinner in the lawns of the hotel. The food is first marinated for hours before skewing through iron rod and cooked over the charcoal fire and clay oven also known a Tandoor to give is a unique flavour. Food we enjoy will be selection of tikka’s and kebabs accompanied by local dishes. (B,L,D)
Day 9: Ranthambore – Jaipur & home-made meal
After breakfast travel to Jaipur. The Pink City of Rajasthan is a treasure-trove of culture, art and history and famous for its colour, life style and Rajasthani cuisine. Evening goes exploring the Local Bazaars. Witness local men wearing turbans, describing their clan and women in their beautiful mirror jaded colourful clothes displaying the color of India. Explore world famous jewellery bazaar which offers a variety that ranges from chunky tribal Jewellery to enamelled gold to modern diamond jewellery. In Rajasthan, men and women can be seen sporting necklaces, armlets, anklets, earrings and rings. Silver is more commonly worn by the rural women and is certainly more affordable for a shopper. Jaipur is well known for its gold and silver enamelling. Colourful bangles and set with semiprecious stones make an inexpensive buy. The local bazaars are also known for its embroidered leather shoes, blue pottery, tie and dye scarves and other exotic wares. To understand what a typically Indian family eat on a daily basis we visit Rajput or Royal family house and participate in proper cooking lesson so you can create quick, simple and healthy curry when you are back home. Lady of the house will guide you through the lesson and telling the story of there royal past. Day 10: Sightseeing & Rajasthani food
After breakfast enjoy guided city tour and visit Amber Fort, the ancient capital of Rajasthan and the majestic palace complex to witness a unique system of air-conditioning of 17th century. The most enthralling experience of Amber Fort is the gaily decorated elephant ride. A beautiful complex of Palaces, halls, pavilions, garden and temples built by Raja Mansingh, Raja Jaisingh and Sawai Jaisingh over a period of about two centuries, it still stands in its magnificent state. The red sandstone and white Marble palace has some very interesting apartments- Diwan-I-Am, Ganesh Pol, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, Jai Mandir, Man Singh Palace and Shila Devi Temple. City Palace Museum; boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures of the ancient past, miniature delicate paintings, preserved painted ceilings and the elephant saddles (haudas),and is registered in the Guinness Book of Records to contain the biggest silver objects in the world. Visit Maharaja’s City Palace, Jantar Mantar; one of the famed observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh is a complex of astronomical instruments, chiselled out of stone which provides fairly accurate information to this day, photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace); built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh at a time when women of the royal family had to observe strict purdah, it is believed that this palace was built for them to take pleasure in the processions and various activities taking place in the streets below without showing themselves and thus enjoying a sense of freedom. Drive-pass the old parts of Jaipur city. Overnight at Jaipur. In the evening have a traditional Rajasthani Thali at Choki Dhani, and all the entertainments of a street fare is a great venue. The Thali here usually has some vegetables only grown in Rajasthan desert areas and served along with Bajra (millet) chapattis amongst other Rajasthani delicacies. Stay overnight at Jaipur. (B,L,D)
Day 11: Jaipur - Delhi Departure
After leisurely breakfast we travel back to Delhi. Tour finish by late afternoon with direct transfer to Delhi International airport where you board your onwards flight. (B)
